Back in 2016, a number of high profile musicians including Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Pink and U2’s Bono released “23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are Black in America,” detailing systemic racism in the United States. Keys, alongside several more musicians such as Mary J. Blige, A$AP Ferg, Offset, Rapsody, Ty Dolla $ign, Vic Mensa, 070 Shake, Khalid, Asian Doll and Summer Walker have now released a follow-up video called “17 Ways Black People Are Killed in America,” which urges Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to launch a United States Commission on Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) during the administration’s first 100 days.

Last year saw a number of incidents reignite the Black Lives Matter movement across the United States, While a vast number of these demonstrations urged for criminal justice reforms, other incidents such as COVID-19 affecting a disproportionate number of Black Americans have also been in the movement’s spotlight.

“17 Ways Black People Are Killed in America” referenced the deaths of Elijah McClain, Ahmaud Arbery, Rayshard Brooks, George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, who all passed away since the release of the 2016 video. Although Biden ran on a platform of criminal justice reform, Keys stressed the necessity of keeping his administration accountable.

Khalid’s Zodiac Sign Shows He’s A Quirky & Fun Partner

January 18, 2021

Not many people had a better year in 2020 (at least career-wise) than Khalid. He snagged five Grammy nominations and won five Billboard awards. Despite the spotlight that comes with that kind of achievement, the “Better” singer has successfully managed to keep his private life just that: private. If Khalid’s dating anyone, he’s kept it quiet. However, it’s not surprising that the artist’s doing things his way when you consider Khalid’s zodiac sign.

Khalid was born on Feb. 11, 1998, under the sign of Aquarius. This air sign is known for doing their own thing. They’re quirky individuals who don’t concern themselves with what other people think of them. Instead, they follow their passions and allow the right kind of people (those who appreciate them) to be drawn to them. They’re kind of a walking contradiction. On the one hand, they’re friendly, sociable, and the life of the party. On the other, Aquarius is surprisingly private and reserved. You simply can’t box an Aquarius like Khalid in, which is just a part of what makes them so charming and irresistible — so long as you enjoy their eccentricities. Here’s what else we can surmise about what Khalid is like as a partner based on his zodiac sign.

In this special holiday celebration Right Hand Foundation gave away HD television sets, gifts and toys from T.J. Maxx, food and water, and more special gifts for children. All participants wore masks and temperature checks and hand sanitizer was given at the door to help fight the spread of Covid-19.

Right Hand Foundation continues to support women and children through this crisis and has extended its charity for families for the long term. They also campaign for daily needs through monthly sponsorships, grocery cards, school supplies, and transportation services.

In a recent video Courtney explains how imperative it is to support the community through this time and has a goal to open more Havens in Atlanta and across the United States. If you would like to support this cause donations can be given via this link: http://righthandfdn.org/donate-with-us/

Billie Eilish & Khalid’s Lovely Video Hits 1 Billion YouTube Views

January 14, 2021

Billie Eilish and Khalid have a “Lovely” reason to celebrate now that the music video for their 2018 collaboration has reached 1 billion views on YouTube.

In the cold and dark visual for their melodramatic ballad, which premiered April 26, 2018, the two young singers delicately waltz around each other in a glass box while wearing all-black outfits and a thick layer of silver chains.

The then-16-year-old Eilish came up with the video concept to convey feeling hopelessly trapped with someone else. “Lovely” was featured on the accompanying soundtrack for the second season of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why series, which Selena Gomez executive produced.

This marks Khalid’s first entry and Eilish’s second entry after the music video for “Bad Guy,” her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit and Grammy winner, ushered her into the exclusive club two months ago.

“AYYYEEEEE BAD GUY HIT A BILLI,” the pop superstar wrote on her Instagram Story at the time with a screenshot of the YouTube page.

Khalid – Talk Lyrics

January 7, 2021
Post Image

[Chorus]
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Talk about where we’re goin’
Before we get lost, lend me your thoughts
Can’t get what we want without knowin’
I’ve never felt like this before
I apologize if I’m movin’ too far
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Figure out where we’re goin’

[Verse 1]
Yeah, started off right
I can see it in your eyes
I can tell that you’re wantin’ more
What’s been on your mind?
There’s no reason we should hide
Tell me somethin’ I ain’t heard before

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, I’ve been dreamin’ ’bout it
And it’s you I’m on
So stop thinkin’ ’bout it

[Chorus]
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Talk about where we’re goin’
Before we get lost, lend me your thoughts (Yeah)
Can’t get what we want without knowin’ (No)
I’ve never felt like this before
I apologize if I’m movin’ too far
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Figure out where we’re goin’

[Verse 2]
Oh, nah
Penthouse view, left some flowers in the room
I’ll make sure I leave the door unlocked
Now I’m on the way, swear I won’t be late
I’ll be there by five o’clock

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, you’ve been dreamin’ ’bout it
And I’m what you want
So stop thinkin’ ’bout it

[Chorus]
Can we just talk? (Oh) Can we just talk?
Talk about where we’re goin’
Before we get lost, lend me your thoughts
Can’t get what we want without knowin’
I’ve never felt like this before
I apologize if I’m movin’ too far
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Figure out where we’re goin’

[Outro]
Figure out where we’re goin’
