Billie Eilish & Khalid’s Lovely Video Hits 1 Billion YouTube Views

Billie Eilish and Khalid have a “Lovely” reason to celebrate now that the music video for their 2018 collaboration has reached 1 billion views on YouTube.

In the cold and dark visual for their melodramatic ballad, which premiered April 26, 2018, the two young singers delicately waltz around each other in a glass box while wearing all-black outfits and a thick layer of silver chains.

The then-16-year-old Eilish came up with the video concept to convey feeling hopelessly trapped with someone else. “Lovely” was featured on the accompanying soundtrack for the second season of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why series, which Selena Gomez executive produced.

This marks Khalid’s first entry and Eilish’s second entry after the music video for “Bad Guy,” her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit and Grammy winner, ushered her into the exclusive club two months ago.

“AYYYEEEEE BAD GUY HIT A BILLI,” the pop superstar wrote on her Instagram Story at the time with a screenshot of the YouTube page.

Khalid – Talk Lyrics

January 7, 2021
Post Image

[Chorus]
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Talk about where we’re goin’
Before we get lost, lend me your thoughts
Can’t get what we want without knowin’
I’ve never felt like this before
I apologize if I’m movin’ too far
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Figure out where we’re goin’

[Verse 1]
Yeah, started off right
I can see it in your eyes
I can tell that you’re wantin’ more
What’s been on your mind?
There’s no reason we should hide
Tell me somethin’ I ain’t heard before

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, I’ve been dreamin’ ’bout it
And it’s you I’m on
So stop thinkin’ ’bout it

[Chorus]
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Talk about where we’re goin’
Before we get lost, lend me your thoughts (Yeah)
Can’t get what we want without knowin’ (No)
I’ve never felt like this before
I apologize if I’m movin’ too far
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Figure out where we’re goin’

[Verse 2]
Oh, nah
Penthouse view, left some flowers in the room
I’ll make sure I leave the door unlocked
Now I’m on the way, swear I won’t be late
I’ll be there by five o’clock

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, you’ve been dreamin’ ’bout it
And I’m what you want
So stop thinkin’ ’bout it

[Chorus]
Can we just talk? (Oh) Can we just talk?
Talk about where we’re goin’
Before we get lost, lend me your thoughts
Can’t get what we want without knowin’
I’ve never felt like this before
I apologize if I’m movin’ too far
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Figure out where we’re goin’

[Outro]
Figure out where we’re goin’

EL PASO – The Great Khalid Foundation took a pause Tuesday to celebrate a $15,000 grant given to it by Walmart late last year. The foundation, the charitable arm for rising R & B singer Khalid, dispersed the grant funds during the first quarter of the year, but a celebration was postponed because of citywide

Courtney Stewart is headed for Billboard’s Power List 2021

In the year 2020 Billboard has taken a different approach to compile its annual Power List. In an opportunity to evolve with the music industry they have decided to list powerful figures by leadership and elevation in conjunction with influence and segment.

The new decade has brought about a significant change by inspiring a new generation of leaders that are powerful and game changing. The Power list recognizes leaders that are exceptional in their jobs and make moves that elevate the entire music business. This doesn’t take away from the level of power; instead, it’s focused on how well leaders use their power.

Needless to say, Courtney Stewart, founder of Right Hand Music group made the Billboard 2020 Power List. Here is what they had to say about Stewart:

Billboard Music

Barely five years into Khalid’s career, Stewart’s client is a six-time Grammy nominee with 6 billion streams for his sophomore album, Free Spirit. Khalid’s 2019 tour, which wrapped in Australia in December, included double sellouts at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, New York’s Madison Square Garden, London’s O2 Arena and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, says Stewart. Through his secondary company, Keep Cool, Stewart is working with breakout R&B artist Lucky Daye, who has been nominated for four 2020 Grammys.

Billboard also states the list will continue to evolve and values the thoughts and input of their audience. Going forward there will be a way for others to chime in and provide feedback to influence the way the future Power List’s will be produced.

Although the list was published in January of 2020, we believe Courtney will make the list in 2021. With the continued success of Khalid (in 2020 Khalid has won five Billboard awards, iHeart Music album of the year, and Grammy nominee for record of the year) and artists on his roster, Stewart’s power will overflow into years to come.
